HARTFORD – State Representative Rosa C. Rebimbas (R-70), State Senators Joan Hartley (D-15) and George Logan (R-17), Mayor Pete Hess, and Ron Pugliese with the Naugatuck Economic Development Corporation accompanied Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz on a tour of several businesses in downtown Naugatuck on October 1st, 2019. The businesses included Peach Blossom Boutique & Gift (and Little Peach), Sam’s Shoe Repair, Santos’ Restaurant, 66 Church, Terri’s Flower Shop, Nationwide Insurance, New Era Barber Shop, Down to Earth Consulting, and Little Black Dress Vintage. They also visited Howard Whittemore Memorial Library, and spoke with several store owners and local residents throughout the afternoon.
“Naugatuck is home to many businesses, both small and large, and on Tuesday, we decided to visit a few to thank the owners for their contributions to the community and to learn more about their individual businesses,” Rep. Rebimbas said. “As a legislator, I believe that if you want to better serve the public, you must go out and speak with constituents in person, and you must do it regularly. Our residents and business owners have great ideas, and they are just waiting for us to reach out to them for insight. Thank you to the store owners for speaking with us. I look forward to doing this again in the near future.”
Rep. Rebimbas encourages any and all businesses in Naugatuck to contact her with any questions or concerns they may have and want to see addressed.
