Reminder: Residents Ages 16+ Eligible to Register for COVID Vaccine Tomorrow!

Beginning tomorrow, April 1, Connecticut residents ages 16+ will be able to register for the COVID-19 vaccination.

Visit the state’s COVID-19 Vaccine Portal to view scheduling options.

Those currently eligible to receive a vaccination will continue to be eligible. This includes:

  • All individuals over the age of 45;
  • Healthcare personnel;
  • Medical first responders;
  • Residents and staff of long-term care facilities;
  • Residents and staff of select congregate settings; and
  • PreK-12 school staff and professional childcare providers.

Below is a summary of Connecticut’s COVID-19 vaccine administration efforts as of March 29, 2021 (provided by the governor’s office):



*NOTE: A total of 45,137 doses of the single-dose J&J vaccine are included in each category.

This week, the state anticipates receiving about 240,000 first doses from the federal government.

So far, 41% of all adults over the age of 16 in Connecticut have received at least one dose, including:

  • 80% of people over the age of 65
  • 61% of people between the ages of 55-64
  • 38% of people between the ages of 45-54
