Rep. Polletta, Watertown Police Chief & Deputy Chief Testify at State Capitol

Posted on March 8, 2024

It was a great honor to be joined at the Capitol today by Watertown Chief of Police Joshua Bernegger and Deputy Chief Renee Dominguez, who testified on a bill that would increase protections for certain victims of sexual assault under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Their advocacy on this important issue was on full display before the Government Administration and Elections Committee today and on behalf of the great people of Watertown, thank you both for your service!

Standing with Law Enforcement and Supporting Public Safety

Today I joined my Republican colleagues at the State Capitol in a strong show of support for our law enforcement. This will not stand — it is up to us to change the narrative and let our finest & bravest know that we have their backs in Hartford when they do in all of our communities.

Read Across America 2024!

I had a wonderful time visiting Judson School and Maloney Magnet School in honor of Read Across America! A special thanks to our faculty and staff for the amazing work they do each day. Additionally, I want to thank both Boards of Education in Watertown and Waterbury for the invite and welcome.
