Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing Project, Route 73 in Waterbury

The following message comes from the State Department of Transportation and contains information that could impact your travels.

 

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 73 in Waterbury, beginning Sunday, September 23, 2018. 

 

The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.95 miles of Route 73in Waterbury. This project is scheduled to occur from 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sunday, September 23, 2018 to the morning of Monday, October 8, 2018.

 

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2018 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

 

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 73 between the Watertown town line and the Route 8 Connector. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday)

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
