Waterbury- Rep. Bill Pizzuto was invited to a Waterbury school as a guest reader as part of Read Across America Week celebrations. He visited Tinker Elementary School and shared the story “Silly Sally” with the students.
“I had such a fun time visiting with Tinker Teacher of the Year Mrs. Brown & her class. Thank you for inviting me as a guest reader,” said Pizzuto.
The National Education Association launched Read Across America in 1998 as a year-round program to celebrate reading. Dr. Seuss’ birthday was March 2 and was declared Read Across America Day, which kicks off Read Across America Week and Read Across America Month.
