Hartford  – At a news confernce held on Wednesday morning, Republicans unveiled their plan on energy. “Today, I joined House and Senate Republicans to unveil a six-point plan aimed at addressing the state’s rising energy costs. I have consistently heard from you that the legislature must take action to make monthly utility bills more affordable. Last summer, we proposed ideas to lower costs, but unfortunately, they were not considered. In the fall of 2024, we called for a special session, which was never convened. Today, however, marks a step in the right direction, and there is still ample time in the current legislative session to take meaningful action,” said Rep. Piscopo.

electricity generated from a hydropower or nuclear power generating facility
⚡Separate PURA from DEEP
⚡Eliminate any incentive program that increases electric demand, including, any electric vehicle rebate program
⚡Study ways to increase the supply of natural gas
