State Representative John Piscopo was recently recognized by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) for having a perfect voting record on key bills impacting Connecticut’s economic growth and business climate.

CBIA’s policy initiatives feature a number of bills, with recommendations designed to help businesses manage the high costs of navigating COVID-19 restrictions, to create and retain jobs, and lead Connecticut’s economic recovery. Legislators were scored on seven measures based on their opposition or support for the business community’s positions.

“I continuously hear from business owners throughout the 76th District about the challenges of running a business amidst the state’s crippling taxes and unnecessary regulations that make it nearly impossible for businesses to expand,” said Piscopo. “Many businesses were forced to close their doors as a result of years of anti-business policies coupled with the impact of a pandemic; consequently, our state’s economy and business community has struggled. I remain committed to supporting business owners and advocating for policies that will attract more high-paying, high-quality jobs to our state and help businesses grow. It’s an honor to be recognized by CBIA for my efforts and I thank them.”
