CT DOT: Thomaston – Rehabilitation of Bridges 03350 and 03351 on Route 8 Northbound and Southbound

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction and lane shifts for bridge rehabilitation work on Bridges 03350 and 03351, Route 8 northbound and southbound in Thomaston, beginning on August 13, 2018.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
- Beginning Monday, August 13, 2018, motorists can expect lanes closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM for the purpose of stage 1 construction activities.
- The contractor will be allowed to halt Route 8 traffic for a period not to exceed 10 minutes to perform necessary work for repairs and rehabilitation of the existing bridge superstructure between 12:01 AMÂ and 5:00 AM on all non-holidays.
DOT Project No. 0140-0172 was awarded to Northern Construction Services, LLC and is scheduled to be completed by November 24, 2019.
