I want to take a moment to provide you with an update about a local food drive this Friday to benefit the Plainville Food Pantry, limited DMV reopening, and upcoming road work in our community.

July 4th Flag Retirement

State Senator Henri Martin and I will be collecting worn and tattered flags to donate for proper retirement at the American Legion Post 33.

The July 4th Flag Retirement collection will begin on Tuesday, June 23 until Tuesday, July 7. Flags can be dropped off at the Plainville Municipal Center located at 1 Central Square.

Phase Two Reopening June 17th

Governor Lamont recently announced that Connecticut’s second phase of reopening initially scheduled for June 20th, will begin three days early on June 17th. The Department of Economic and Community Development has published specific guidelines and best practices for each business sector in order to safely reopen. Businesses are not required to reopen, that decision rests with individual business owners.
