Rep. Petit and Sen. Martin to Host Informational Meeting

PLAINVILLE – State Representative William A. Petit Jr. (R-22) and State Senator Henri Martin (R-31) will be holding an informational meeting to provide area residents with an opportunity to learn about a permit between the City of Bristol and waste management company Covanta that would allow the company to burn medical waste.

WHEN: Tuesday, December 21

WHERE: Plainville Public Library, 56 E. Main St.

TIME: 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Earlier this week, I was an invited to be a guest on Nutmeg TV’s “Up Close and Personal” to get my take on a wide variety of issues.

Rep. Petit Highlights Importance of Increasing Diversity in Education

This morning I was invited to a press conference at North End Elementary School in New Britain to highlight the Teacher Residency Program (TRP). This apprenticeship program is designed to help increase diversity in education by providing people interested in teaching with an avenue to become educators.
