Representative Makes Every Vote of the 2022 Regular Session

HARTFORD – State Representative William A. Petit Jr. (R-22) has once again achieved a perfect score for votes taken on the floor of the House of Representatives during the 2022 legislative session.

Each year, the House Clerk’s Office releases the data on members’ votes during the Regular Session and Representative Petit was present for all 264 votes taken during that time, one of only 62 lawmakers out of 151 to receive a perfect score.  On average only 20 to 30 percent of legislators able to do so in a given year.

“I have always been committed to my role as a state representative and ensuring the voices of those who live in Plainville and New Britain, regardless of their political affiliation, were always present during every single vote,” Rep. Petit said. “I am proud to have been able to fulfill my duty to the 22nd District and the wonderful residents who have put their trust in me to represent them in Hartford.”

Rep. Petit serves as the Ranking Member of the legislature’s Public Health Committee and is also a member of the Energy and Technology and Education Committees. He represents the towns of Plainville and New Britain in the General Assembly.
