As a former athlete, I know how dangerous it can be to compete. Modifying this competition to include biological males is not only unfair but also places the safety of these girls and women in jeopardy.

Yesterday, I joined my House Republican colleagues, advocates, and parents, for a press conference in calling for the legislature to protect the rights of biological girls in sports and prevent biological men from competing against them.

We were also joined by Payton McNabb, a former high school volleyball player who suffered a life-altering injury at 17-years old while participating against a biological male. These are the types of incidents we are trying to stop from happening.
