State Representative Arthur O’Neill joined the Friday morning Hot Topics group at Watermark at East Hill, a senior retirement community in Southbury, CT., to discuss the important issues being discussed and debated by the legislature this session.

Watermark residents said they meet regularly to discuss politics and government, and welcome local and state politicians and policymakers to join them for the informal question and answer sessions. More than 25 people attended the discussion where Rep. O’Neill spent about an hour talking about the state budget deficit and how the state got here, infrastructure repair and improvement, road and bridge funding, legalized cannabis and paid family and medical leave proposals, among other topics.
