State Representative Arthur O’Neill (R-69) today took the oath of office to serve another two-year term representing the people of Bridgewater, Roxbury, Southbury and Washington in the Connecticut General Assembly.
Deputy Republican Leader At-Large O’Neill, currently the longest-serving Republican legislator in the House of Representatives, was reappointed by House Republican Leader Klarides to serve on the legislature’s powerful Judiciary Committee, and both the Regulations Review and Legislative Management committees. This year, he was also named as a member of the Insurance and Real Estate Committee.
“Despite the fact the legislature is once again facing the difficult task of crafting a responsible state budget that provides essential services while eliminating a projected biennium deficit of almost $4 billion, I remain optimistic that by working together and considering the best proposals we can make true progress for the people of Connecticut,” Rep. O’Neill said.
