According to statistics compiled by the House Clerk’s Office, State Representative Arthur O’Neill (R-69) earned a perfect one-hundred-percent voting record for the 2018 regular and veto legislative sessions.
This year, the regular and veto session included votes on 317 separate pieces of legislation that were called on the floor of the House of Representatives, and Rep. O‘Neill made them all. Rep. O’Neill has achieved perfect attendance many times throughout his 30-year legislative career, including 2005 when a decade-high 460 roll call votes were taken. He has cast more than 9,700 votes for the people of the 69th District.
“My priority is always to represent the people of the 69th district to the best of my ability and I am honored to serve as their voice in Hartford,” Rep. O’Neill said. “I will continue to work diligently on their behalf to pass legislation that helps the people of Bridgewater, Roxbury, Southbury and Washington.”
Rep. O’Neill, currently the longest serving House Republican lawmaker, represents the 69th district in the General Assembly, and serves on the legislature’s Appropriations and Judiciary Committees, and also serves on the Regulations Review Committee and Legislative Management Committee.
The next regular session of the legislature will convene in January, 2019.
