Upcoming Public Comment Sessions Regarding Eversource’s Rate Increases/Storm Response

For those of you who did not have the opportunity to voice your concerns about Eversource’s recent energy rate increases during the recent public hearings, there will be two more opportunities this week, as well as more in October.

This issue affects customers throughout the state, and the more we speak up, the more likely we are to see the results we want.

Please consider submitting testimony if you have not done so already. I have provided details on the hearings and instructions for submitting testimony below.

Energy & Technology Virtual Listening Session: September 8

The legislature’s Energy and Technology Committee will hold a virtual Listening Session on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 beginning at 10:30 a.m. via Zoom. The session will conclude no later than 8:00 p.m.

The Committee will receive testimony regarding LCO No. 3920, An Act Concerning Emergency Response by Electric Distribution Companies and Revising the Regulation of Other Public Utilities.

Please keep oral testimony to under three minutes.

Written testimony may be emailed to ETtestimony@cga.ct.gov. Testimony must be in Word or PDF format. Testimony may also be mailed to the Energy and Technology Committee Legislative Office Building, Room 3900, Hartford, CT 06106.

All testimony will become public information so please do not include any personal information you do not wish to be made public.

The hearing will be available live and on demand on CT-N.
