Grace is a young New Canaan resident who last year was diagnosed with Leukemia. She has been receiving treatment and is doing well. Since then, another young girl from New Canaan has been diagnosed with Leukemia and in addition, a Saxe Middle School teacher has received the same diagnosis for her daughter.
That’s why Grace’s family created the Gracie Fund for Pediatric Cancer. The Gracie Fund has partnered with Yale Children’s Hospital and their Director of Pediatric Oncology, Dr. Stephanie Massaro to ensure that all money raised by the Fund goes directly to pediatric cancer care and research.
They are partnering with the New Canaan Police Department and the New Canaan Fire Department to hold the New Canaan Combine on October 1st, 9:30 a.m. at Dunning Field. The Gracie Fund invites you and your family to join them for an athletic combine (a mix of NFL combine + spartan games) with NCPD taking on NCFD. The event is free to the public.
New Canaan’s own Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo will be the MC of this great community event.
