Deputy House Republican Leader Tom O’Dea (R-New Canaan) testified in support of H.B. 5457, An Act Suspending Penalties and Interest for Certain Late Filings, during a Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee public hearing on March 8, 2021. The bill would suspend the imposition of penalties and interest for the late filing of permits, fees, taxes or personal property declarations for one year to assist individuals and businesses in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
