    New Canaan needs more affordable housing. As legislators, we should pursue more thoughtful and proper methods to do so than 8-30g.
    This bill punishes municipalities like New Canaan, a town which has prioritized the access to affordable housing, but cannot keep up with the demands from Hartford outlined in 8-30g. With the help of other state and local lawmakers, we will continue to fight for local control of zoning.
    Last week, I joined State Senator Ryan Fazio and local New Canaan legislators & officials to discuss our opposition to 8-30g, and how we can create better solutions for New Canaan.
