This afternoon, Governor Lamont announced a revised, age-based COVID-19 vaccination schedule for Connecticut residents. Individuals ages 55 to 64 will be able to schedule their vaccination appointment beginning March 1, 2021.

    Below is the planned schedule:

    • March 1, 2021: Expands to age group 55 to 64
    • March 22, 2021: Expands to age group 45 to 54
    • April 12, 2021: Expands to age group 35 to 44
    • May 3, 2021: Expands to age group 16 to 34

In addition to the aged-based approach, school staff, teachers (pre-K through grade 12) and professional childcare providers will be able to schedule their appointments in March at designated locations for this specific sector. Details will soon be provided to superintendents and employers.

The graphic above provides a general overview of the new vaccine rollout schedule. Please share this information with anyone you know who may need it.

Please note: All individuals who are currently eligible to schedule their vaccination (individuals 65 years and older, medical first responders, healthcare workers, nursing home residents and staff) will continue to be eligible after March 1.

As always, please contact me if you have questions about Connecticut’s vaccine distribution process or the state’s general response to COVID-19. I also encourage you to share this information with anyone who may find it useful.
