HARTFORD – The application window for the 2024-2025 Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) is now open. CEAP provides vital support to Connecticut residents, helping them afford to heat their homes during the winter.

Additional assistance, such as fuel deliveries for those using oil or propane, may also be available.

Beyond heating bill assistance, CEAP recipients might qualify for matching payment plans, protection from shut-offs, and repairs or replacement of heating equipment.

Applications typically take 30-45 minutes to complete, and benefits are usually paid directly to your utility company or fuel supplier.

The program is administered by the Connecticut Department of Social Services in partnership with local Community Action Agencies.
