Achieves 100% Voting Record Yet Again

HARTFORD – As her fourth year serving in the Legislature comes to a close, State Representative Kathleen McCarty (R-38) has achieved her fourth consecutive one-hundred percent voting record during the 2018 Legislative Sessions – a rare and admirable accomplishment!

Rep. McCarty cast a vote on all 317 pieces of legislation that came before the House of Representatives this year. According to statistics compiled by the House Clerk’s Office, this perfect score and attendance is very difficult to achieve, with only about 20% of legislators being able to do so in any given year.

“I truly take all of my constituents’ best interests to heart,” said Rep. McCarty. “It is truly a privilege and an honor for me to serve as the State Representative for my hometown of Waterford and Montville. I do my very best to listen to the opinions and concerns of all of my constituents and to represent their interests in Hartford. Thank you so much for your support and the confidence that you have placed in me. I will continue to advocate for the policies we need to improve Connecticut’s business climate, healthcare access, education programs, mental health services and more.”

Rep. McCarty represents the 38th district in the General Assembly and is currently serving her second-term as a Republican lawmaker. She serves on the legislature’s Internship, Appropriations, Education and Public Health Committees. She has also worked on the Legislative Tourism Caucus and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Caucus.
