The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) would like your input on the state’s next generation of rail cars. They will be purchasing a fleet of new rail cars to replace their exiting push-pull coaches operating on the Hartford Line, Shore Line East, Danbury Line and Waterbury Line and want to know what you consider to be reliable, comfortable, attractive, and sustainable.

Customers from each rail line will be selected through an open lottery process for an opportunity to participate in their Customer Advisory Panel (CAP). The Panel will also include up to three representatives from the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) advocacy community, including persons with visual and mobility disabilities, the bicycle and pedestrian community, and a representative of the Connecticut Rail Council.

To apply for a position on the CAP, please click here to participate in a quick, five-minute survey.
