Next Tuesday, the Energy & Technology Committee will hold a public informational forum on legislation to address recent issues with our electric utility providers. Please read the bulletin announcement below for more information and instructions on how to submit public testimony.

Energy & Technology Committee Informational Forum – Tuesday September 8th

 

The Energy & Technology Committee will hold a virtual Listening Session on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. via Zoom, regarding LCO No. 3920. “AAC EMERGENCY RESPONSE BY ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION COMPANIES AND REVISING THE REGULATION OF OTHER PUBLIC UTILITIES.” The Listening Session will end no later than 8:00 p.m.

The Committee will receive testimony related to LCO No. 3920. A link to the Draft Bill can be found here.

People who wish to testify via Zoom must register using the On-line Testimony Registration Form. Registration will CLOSE on Monday, September 7th at 12:00 p.m. Speaker order of approved registrants will be posted on the Energy and Technology Committee website. If you do not have internet access, you may provide testimony via telephone. To register to testify by phone, call the Phone Registrant Line – 860-240-0430 to leave your contact information. Written testimony is encouraged – please email written testimony in Word or PDF format to ETTestimony@cga.ct.gov. Speakers will be strictly limited to 3 minutes of oral testimony. The Committee encourages witnesses to submit a written statement and to condense oral testimony to a summary of that statement.

All submitted testimony, written and spoken, is public information. As such, it may be made available on the Energy and Technology website and indexed by internet search engines. Please do not include personal information you do not wish to be made public.

This Listening Session will be recorded and broadcast live on CT-N. It will also be available on demand from CT-N.com.

All registrants must register by Monday, September 7, 2020 by 12:00 p.m. Registrations after that deadline may be subject to cancellation.
