HARTFORD – For the fifth year in a row, State Representative Kathleen McCarty (R-38) is being recognized for her outstanding attendance record at the Legislature in Hartford.

Rep. McCarty cast a vote on all 392 pieces of legislation that came before the House of Representatives during the 2019 Regular Legislative Session and Special Session – therefore not missing a single one. According to statistics compiled by the House Clerk’s Office, this perfect score and attendance is very difficult to achieve, with only about 20% of legislators being able to do so in any given year.

“I am honored to be serving as the state representative for my district and I take my job very seriously,” said Rep. McCarty. “I am thankful that I was able to be present for every vote, and that I was able to represent the voices of my constituents to the best of my ability. Thank you to all for your continued support during this past session!”

Rep. McCarty represents the 38th district in the General Assembly and is currently serving her third term as a Republican lawmaker. She serves on the legislature’s Appropriations and Public Health Committees, and is Ranking Member of the Education Committee. She is also a member of the Legislative Tourism Caucus, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Caucus, Rural Caucus, and Women’s Caucus.
