HARTFORD, CT – Rep. Gale Mastrofrancesco, R-Wolcott, joined her House Republican colleagues recently during a Save Girls Sports press conference at the Capitol that was focused on protecting biological girls who compete in sports.

Rep. Mastrofrancesco was on hand to listen to the experiences of young women, including Payton McNabb, whose story is heartbreaking. McNabb suffered a devastating injury on the volleyball court after being forced to compete against a biological male. She continues to suffer long-term effects from the incident.

The press conference was meant to highlight the biological differences between men and women, that men are stronger, and often times faster, and that is not a fair competition. It robs girls of opportunities, including scholarships, when girls’ sports are meant to exist to give girls a fair and safe opportunity to compete.
