As more of the state begins to get back to business and the Capitol partially re-opens to visitors, Rep. Gale Mastrofrancesco, R-80th, took the opportunity to answer an array of questions posed by students from Wolcott High School during a tour of the building and the Legislative Office Building on Tuesday.

The students also toured the Connecticut Supreme Court as part of an up-close view of the workings of government.

“To see how engaged the students were and the number of questions they asked was gratifying,” Rep. Mastrofrancesco said. “They were so bright and wanted to know more about the legislative process.”

Rep. Mastrofrancesco informed the class about her stance as a freedom fighter, maintaining their Constitutional rights, her opposition to mask and vaccine mandates, and why she votes the way she does while on the House floor. While encouraging the students to follow in her shoes, she told them that one of them would be a future leader.

“One of you sitting here may be a future representative, one of you may be on the town council,” Rep. Mastrofrancesco said to the class.
