We are half way through the legislative session and I wanted to give you an update on some of the major pieces of legislation that concern me and have made it through the committee process.
Tolls
In the Transportation Committee, three toll proposals were voted out of committee. The proposals approved lacked specific details and frankly didn’t address many questions raised by the people I represent. State Representative Gale Mastrofrancesco joined students and teachers from Wolcott and Southington High School, and dozens of other schools, today for a hands-on construction industry expo designed to expose students to career opportunities in the trades.
The Associated Builders and Contractors of CT’s 8th annual Construction Career Days event, held at the New Life Church in Wallingford, highlights member companies and groups and promotes career interest in the construction industry.
