Information About Early Voting

Friends and neighbors,

Early voting was approved by Connecticut voters in 2022. During the 2023 legislative session, the General Assembly authorized in-person early voting for elections held after April 1, 2024. Under this schedule, the first election utilizing early voting will be the Presidential Preference Primary on April 2, 2024.

Attorney General, Consumer Protection Commissioner Announce PSA Regarding Illegal, Unsafe Cannabis Edibles

In a press release, Attorney General Tong and Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner Cafferelli announced the launch of a public service announcement regarding illegal, unsafe cannabis edibles made to look like common kid-friendly snacks.

“We’re still seeing highly potent illegal cannabis products that look like common kid snacks. These edibles are untested and unsafe, and can land kids in the hospital. If you see these products, keep them away from children and report them at ct.gov/reportillegalcannabis,”

During today’s Transportation Committee meeting, Rep. Tom O’Dea proposed an amendment to a separate piece of legislation that would make it illegal for drivers to use cannabis.
