Preston BSA Troop 75 Celebrates Cameron Maskaly’s Eagle Scout Achievement
Posted on March 4, 2025
Congratulations to Cameron Maskaly, for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout from BSA Troop 75 in Preston. I was honored to present Cameron with a legislative citation that was introduced by Senator Somers and myself. Cameron began his scouting journey in 2017, earning 26 Merit Badges, multiple awards, and leadership positions. His 220 hours of total service is very impressive achievement within itself.
Among the 26 Merit Badges that Cameron earned were electives in Farm Mechanics and the Forestry, two critical skillsets that are very useful to many residents in the 45th District. Others include the Camping, Canoeing, Emergency Preparation, First Aid, Swimming, and Weather Badges, that highlight his accomplishments.
Cameron is a true inspiration overcoming many personal obstacles to achieve this amazing feat. He is an accomplished high school soccer player and replaced the Tri Town Trail Bridge as part of his special project to earn this incredible achievement. At a very young age, Cameron has emerged as a true leader in our community. What an excellent accomplishment for Cameron and his family!
