Last week I was honored to be invited as a guest speaker at the 2025 Connecticut March for Life Rally. There has been an attack on the unborn for decades in our state. I was proud to stand on stage with brother and sister legislators, Anne Dauphinais, Karen Reddington-Hughes, Irene Haines, and Mark Anderson in our crusade to protect unborn children.

It was very encouraging to see such a large, diverse group of people, including so many young people standing up for unborn children. This was the largest crowd that I have seen in all of my years attending this important event, and I want to thank everyone who joined us.

This year we are confronting unprecedented legislation that would make it a state constitutional requirement to allow abortion, up to the day of delivery, and remove the requirement that physicians must perform life-saving care on a baby that survives an abortion and further remove parental rights when a minor girl is having to make this life and death decision. The Declaration of Independence had it right with each person has “the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

The right to life begins in the womb. It does not end there!
