Monday morning at the Griswold Town Hall, I had the opportunity to join Griswold First Selectman Todd Babbitt, along with members from American Ambulance Service for their Automated External Defibrillator (AED) donation ceremony to the town. This dedication completes a team effort between the Town of Griswold and American Ambulance, that sponsored a CPR/AED certification program for town employees. This brings our first responders and town employees together in educating them on life-saving procedures in the work place. It was also announced that through efforts like this, the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health Emergency Services has designated Griswold a Heart Safe community.
I would like to thank First Selectman Todd Babbitt and American Ambulance for inviting me to share in this important event and I thank everyone involved in bettering the community.
