    State Representatives Anne Dauphinais and Brian Lanoue and State Senator Heather Somers, in conjunction with the Danielson Veterans Coffee House, and with assistance from the Connecticut Army National Guard, are hosting a “Stuff a Humvee” event to benefit Project PIN of Plainfield.

    The Stuff a Humvee event will take place on September 7th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Big Y located at 83 Lathrop Road, Painfield CT.

    Project PIN has specifically requested child-friendly foods such as nonperishable snacks, juice boxes baby food, etc. Anything that can be donated would be appreciated.

    What: Stuff a Humvee Collection

    When: Saturday, September 7, 10am-2pm

    Where: Big Y, 83 Lathrop Road, Plainfield CT

    Food Items

    • Child-friendly foods: juice boxes, nonperishable snacks, baby food, etc.

    • Nonperishable food items

    • Cases of individual bottled spring water

    • Gallon size spring water

    • Regular “ground” coffee

    • Nonperishable canned goods

    • Packages of hard candies/chewing gum

    • Instant coffee and hot cocoa

    • Powder drink mixes

    Personal Care:

    • Razors, men’s & women’s

    • Deodorant, men’s and women’s

    • Shaving cream

    • Soap

    • Hand soap

    • Shampoo/conditioner

    • Shower gel

    • Toothbrushes

    • Toothpaste

    • Mouthwash

    • Dental floss

    • Feminine hygiene products

    • “Depends” type products

    • Vaseline and hand lotion

    • Medicated foot powder

    • Nail files/nail clippers

    • Reusable water bottles

    • Combs/hairbrushes

    • Hand sanitizer

    • Contact solution/eye drops

    • Chapstick/lip balm

    • Individual tissue packs

    • Band aids

    • Wet Ones type hand wipes

    • Q-Tips

    • Dry shampoo

    • No-rinse wipes (for adult personal hygiene)

    Miscellaneous:

    • Non-prescription reading glasses (“Readers”)

    • Hand/feet/body warmers

    • Can openers for nonperishable foods
