On Monday night in the House Chamber, I co-sponsored a commonsense amendment that would require the State Department of Education, along with the CIAC to come into line with President Trump’s executive order that prevents biological males from competing in women’s sports, which I support 110%! Despicably, the Democratic-controlled state legislature voted this amendment down with 89 members opposing it. This leaves me completely and utterly disgusted.

In past sessions, I have stood for the rights of women and girls to compete in women’s sports without male participation. As a former powerlifter who participated in international competition, I believe in even and fair play. The integrity of the achievements of athletes, including records and awards, should be properly protected.

Connecticut has failed its female athletes for far left extremism.
