DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 24th.
Griswold Pride has organized a Drive-Thru Event at the Griswold Town Hall located at 28 Main Street from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. These events provide an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths.
According to the DEA, the last National Prescription Drug Take Back Day in October was widely successful. With over 4,000 law enforcement agencies taking part in organized events with over 4,500 different locations across the country. Over 492 tons of prescription drugs were collected and the hope is these figures can be topped this year.
