    Despite the rain, it didn’t stop Griswold residents from coming out and having a blast for opening day of Jewett City Little League. I was proud to begin the day marching in the parade with First Selectman Todd Babbitt and all the players & coaches.

    I then had the honor to throw out the first pitch of the season. Catcher “Sam” did an outstanding job catching a very “unconventional” pitch. Looks like he’s ready for the curve balls! I want to wish all Little Leaguers throughout the district a very happy and fun season. Continue to make us proud by showing your great sportsmanship. Play ball!
