Manufacturers from across Connecticut visited the Capitol today to showcase their innovative solutions and products. Proudly representing Plainfield was Kylee Carbone of Westminster Tool. This company specializes in injection mold systems, high performance component production, and composite tools.
They employ over 40 skilled workers with an average age of 33. In addition, they work with students from local colleges to prepare young people for careers in this in-demand field. They are also in the process of forming a similar partnership with Plainfield High School. I hope other companies continue to follow this model by engaging the next generation of Connecticut’s workforce.
Thank you for being an industry leader and for creating quality jobs for the people of our state. It’s companies like Westminster Tool that provide hope for our state’s economic future.
