I had two great meals in Voluntown yesterday. The day began with an amazing Finnish Breakfast at Aura Hall. The toasted pancakes were out of this world! Then I had an amazing organic Voluntown -Pachaug homegrown Caesar salad lunch at Voluntown‘s Farmers’ Market. While there I had the pleasure to run into my good friends Chris Wilson and Judith Allik. They formed a new nonpartisan campaign called “Be Involved in Voluntown.” They are registering new people to vote as well as looking for community volunteers to serve on different boards and commissions in town.
They also discussed the launching of the exciting new program “Smart Recovery” which is a science-based addiction support group where those struggling with substance abuse can learn self-empowering skills and support one another in their journey towards recovery. For more information you can reach Judith at 860-376-2226. It’s people like Judith and Chris why I am so proud to serve as the 45th District Representative.
