I had the honor of presenting a legislative citation from the CT General Assembly with Jared Picco (on behalf of Senator Heather Somers) to Griswold Middle School sixth grader Izabella Ware. She was chosen from thousands of students by the National Red Ribbon’s anti-drug campaign for creating the logo, “Send a Message: Stay Drug Free.”
Izabella and 200 GMS students came up with logos after their health teacher challenged them to participate in this campaign. I am so proud of Izabella and her classmates that rose to the occasion to fight this terrible epidemic. Way to go Izabella! Our future is in good hands with students like you.
