I had the privilege to march and speak at Memorial Day events in Jewett City and Voluntown on Monday. I was greatly impressed by the turnout in our communities by those of all ages and the reverence they showed toward our fallen and to our veterans overall. I was honored and humbled to be with Voluntown’s fallen warrior, Tyler Griffin’s, parents today to honor his wonderful memory and his selfless sacrifice in Afghanistan in defense of our freedom. May God Bless and keep him!
It was my solemn honor to participate in the Plainfield Memorial Day Ceremony at the town green. I want to thank all the veterans for their service and for making Sunday’s honoring of our fallen such a wonderful reminder of the sacrifice 1.2 million Americans gave to America.
