The bill does not do anything to address gun violence, rather it adds further restrictions to law-abiding gun owners that live in our state and attacks our Second Amendment rights.
If we are going to take the step towards combating gun violence, more focus needs to be on the individuals who are committing such heinous crimes, rather than continually focus on the method. We also need to discuss the needs in identifying early warning signs, mental health treatment, reporting procedures and promoting SROs in our schools.
