It was an honor to stand with Griswold PRIDE, Matt’s Mission, United Services and members of the community in support of the CRISIS Initiative – a program which has been successful in Troop E. This program helps to bring together law enforcement, mental health professionals and the community to help people who are battling addiction and improve the quality of life in eastern Connecticut.
Among the speakers were three brave individuals who lost loved ones to this
horrific disease. Their stories serve as a solemn reminder that this problem is very real and that stopping it will require a statewide effort. We hope members of the legislature will rally behind H.B. 6158, which will expand the CRISIS Initiative into Troop D.
