As a legislator, I have the privilege of representing true public servants like Mark Wickerd – a fire fighter who put his life on the line to save others. While on the job, Mark sustained a serious injury, which put him out of work. Today, Mark came to Hartford to testify on his experience where he had to wait fourteen months to finally get the surgery he desperately needed. Mark and I are fighting hard to change this, and prevent it from happening to others in the future. Individuals like Mark are the reasons I wanted to become a state representative.
