PLAINFIELD – State Representatives Anne Dauphinais (R-44), Brian Lanoue (R-45) and State Senator Heather Somers (R-18) wrapped up a successful ‘Stuff a Humvee’ event by collecting dozens of boxes full of donation items to benefit Project Pin, a food pantry located in Moosup.

The lawmakers teamed up with Big Y, volunteers from the Danielson Veterans Coffee House and members of the Connecticut Army National Guard to host the event. In addition to the food and personal hygiene products collected, they also received more than $600 dollars in cash donations which will be used to supplement the pantry’s inventory.

“I want to thank everyone involved who helped make this event such a success,” Rep. Dauphinais said. “The hundreds of items we collected will go a long way in assisting families throughout our community who need the help.”

“Families from across the region never fail to step up on behalf of residents in need,” Sen. Heather Somers said.  “Rep. Dauphinais, Rep. Lanoue and I thank the community for their generosity on behalf of this worthy cause.”

“We are a community that looks out for one another, and that is why this event was a success,” Rep. Lanoue said. “Your generosity will help our friends and neighbors in need. Thank you to everyone who donated.”

The Project Pin food pantry located at 23 Village Center Circle in Moosup serves individuals and families living in the Central Village, Moosup, Oneco, Plainfield, Sterling and Wauregan communities.
