I want to congratulate Lisbon Public Works Foreman, Gregory Bouchard, on a very well-earned retirement after 26 years of service to the Town of Lisbon. Greg led the Lisbon DPW with the important tasks of maintaining 27 miles of roadway, the upkeep of all municipal buildings and their grounds, to just name a few of his many responsibilities. Greg went above and beyond to take courses on the fundamentals of modern road maintenance, management procedures and techniques, always ensuring the town remained on the cutting edge of infrastructure innovation. The life of a public works employee is not an easy one, they are the front lines for every road issue that we face. There is no offseason, and especially during the winter, they experience very long hours plowing snow overnights, weekends and/or holidays. While losing a public servant with Greg’s dedication and experience is a loss, the members of the Lisbon DPW are a skilled bunch and will continue doing a stellar job on Lisbon roadways.
I was honored to present a legislative citation introduced by Representative Doug Dubitsky, Senator Cathy Osten and myself. Greg is a true model public servant and will be missed on the job. Greg, best of luck in your next chapter!
