Legislators Call for Review of Nursing Homes in Wake of COVID-19

Today, members of the Women’s Bipartisan Legislative Caucus held a press conference with the governor to discuss the impact of COVID-19 within Connecticut nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Like you, I am devastated by the loss of life among our senior population. Thousands of our beloved family members and friends were taken by this virus, and with the possibility of a second wave in the fall or early winter, countless residents are looking for answers as well as a well-vetted plan to address this looming threat.

Republican members of the legislature’s Public Health Committee wrote a letter to Governor Lamont with items they would like to have reviewed by a small, nonpartisan group of experts, legislators, and a member of the public. I have attached images of this letter.
