On Wednesday, Representative Greg Howard and I had the pleasure of welcoming 10th-grade students from Ledyard High School to the House Chamber.
We covered a wide range of topics, including discussions about our districts and the towns we represent. They learned about the committee process, the various committees, how the issues are debated, and how a bill progresses through the House of Representatives. We also explored how discussions and debates occur on the floor and the operation of House rules.
It was a great group that listened attentively and demonstrated high interest and engagement. It is always fulfilling having these conversations with our youth, and I thank the staff and faculty at Ledyard High School for joining us!
