On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to read to Mrs. Heasley’s 2nd grade class. The children had a choice between two books, and overwhelmingly selected “We Don’t Lose Our Class Goldfish.”
After completing the reading, the kids & I had quite the discussion about Walter the Goldfish. We then discussed what ideas the students had for making the world a better place. The environment was the popular topic as this is what the students have recently been focused on.
A special thank you goes out to Judith Beahan, who is the Library Media Specialists. Being able to read to the children of the district is always fun and rewarding to me.
