As you have likely seen by now, Naugatuck, Oxford and Southbury, as well as surrounding towns, were impacted by at least 8 inches of rain that fell within a short amount of time.
Tragically, two Oxford residents were reported missing in the flood waters and have been found deceased. Please keep them, their families and our first responders in your thoughts, as they are continuing to work tirelessly.
Several areas of the towns, including minor and major roads, are flooded and washed out. As a reminder, please do not drive through standing water, be aware of signs and cones and be patient as damage assessments and repairs are made, it will take time to restore our infrastructure.

OXFORD
OXFORD – Route 34 CLOSED at Loughlin Road because of a washout.
OXFORD – Route 188 CLOSED between Hulls Hill Rd & Edmonds Rd because of a mudslide.
OXFORD – RT 67 CLOSED at Old State road due to flooding.
SOUTHBURY
SOUTHBURY – I-84 Eastbound Exit 15 OFFRAMP CLOSED because of Emergency Road Work.
SOUTHBURY – Route 172 CLOSED at Spruce Brook Road because of flooding
SOUTHBURY – RT 67 CLOSED from Route 172 to Main Street South because of flooding
SOUTHBURY – Kettletown Road (SR 487) CLOSED between Route 67 & the Kettletown State Park because of flooding.
SOUTHBURY – RT 67 CLOSED between Old Waterbury Road and Community House road due to washouts, tree and pole down in roadway.
