HARTFORD — State Representative Brenda Kupchick (R-132) took the oath of office on Wednesday kicking off her new term as a state legislator for Fairfield’s 132nd Assembly District.
Kupchick outlined her priorities for the 2019 legislative session today after taking the oath of office for the fifth time to continue her efforts to improve the economic climate for taxpayers throughout the state, especially Fairfield.
The legislative session, which gaveled in Wednesday, will stretch through June 5, and lawmakers will work with the governor to set the budget for the next two years. Connecticut taxpayers are expecting an almost $4 billion deficit.
“I have great hope for this new term,” Rep. Kupchick said. “I’m hopeful both parties will work together to tackle the challenges Connecticut faces”.
