The U.S. Small Business Association is accepting applications for the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) program.

The program, established by the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Nonprofits, and Venues Act, and amended by the American Rescue Plan Act, will provide more than $16 billion in grants to shuttered venues. Grants will be administered by SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance.

    Eligible entities include:

    • Live venue operators or promoters
    • Theatrical producers
    • Live performing arts organization operators
    • Relevant museum operators, zoos and aquariums who meet specific criteria
    • Motion picture theater operators
    • Talent representatives
    • Each business entity owned by an eligible entity that also meets the eligibility requirements

The SVOG application portal can be accessed here. Please note: the site is experiencing technical difficulty and may be temporarily unavailable.

The SBA has tools and resources to help potential SVOG applicants, including:

    • Video tutorials, including how to register on the System for Award Management (SAM.gov), a federal requirement to receive an SVOG
